Nancy Miriam Hawley is CEO of Enlignment®, Inc., a business coaching and consulting company specializing in leadership development and organizational change. She and her husband, Jeffrey McIntyre, work with executive management teams and entrepreneurial individuals, couples and families to cultivate sustainable relationships and clear communication while developing thriving businesses. They recently co-authored a book entitled Intimate Leadership: The Power of Couples in Business Together and co-created The Seven Intelligences of Leadership®, an integrative approach to visionary leadership. Miriam coaches executives in the areas of personal power, performance and business success. Her professional clients span the fields of law, medicine, biotech, engineering, development, financial services, and the arts.
Miriam’s work as an organizational consultant and coach developed naturally from her affinity and talent for building productive networks and effective teams. She is well versed in the sufficiency conversation generated from the work of Lynne Twist, author of The Soul of Money and co-founder of The Pachamama Alliance, creator of the Awakening the Dreamer, Changing the Dream Symposium. Miriam is a seasoned facilitator of the Symposium, an international effort dedicated to creating an environmentally sustainable, socially just and spiritually fulfilling human presence on this planet. Miriam recently presented the Symposium at the Society for Organizational Learning, where she interfaces with the work of Peter Senge as a consultant member. Miriam has led Sufficiency Call Teams since 2003 and hosted the 2007 and 2008 Global Sufficiency Summits. She is on the board of the Sufficiency Foundation and is the Advisory Committee Chair for the Global Sufficiency Network. Her presentations include such titles as Enough Already! A Sufficiency Dialogue for Creating a Sustainable World and The Power of Enough.
Miriam is a founder of the Boston Women’s Health Book Collective, Inc., the organization responsible for writing the best seller Our Bodies, Ourselves, a book that shifted the national and international dialogue about women’s health, sexuality and power. She also co-authored Ourselves and Our Children, a book about families and parenting. She is a highly regarded speaker and facilitator of dialogues that focus on unleashing leadership at work, at home, in the community and in the world. Miriam leads a year-long coaching program entitled Beyond Success: A Leaders’ Learning Forum for Executive and Professional Women.
Miriam earned her undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Michigan/Ann Arbor. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in History and Psychology and a Master’s degree in Social Work, with a specialty in groups and organizations. She served for many years on the Board of The Boston Women’s Health Book Collective, Inc. Miriam’s professional memberships have included the Boston Chamber of Commerce, Smaller Business Association of New England,Women Entrepreneurs in Science and Technology, The Family Firm Institute and the Society for Organizational Learning.
